What is to you the most Beautiful coin or coins...?

i consider my HALF CENTAVO coins as the most beautiful in my collection.. because it is unique in our history and was even included in our old tradition several decades ago.. you can hear the old folks in the olden days to say that they do not have even one "kusing" to exaggerate that they are broke ("wala ni isang kusing").. it cost about 600 pesos nowadays and VERY pretty ALMOST UNCIRCULATED CONDITION... you may find one at the on going antique show at greenhills until october 20.. good luck.

For me i consider the Commemorative 1977 Philippine 50 Peso Inauguration of the New Mint Facility as beautiful.

I am just attracted to it because of having the image of 2 Phil. coins in it.
I find it beautiful in its simplicity.

I also find the Dos Mundos coins interesting due to its historic value as the money of one of the greatest world power of a bygone era.

for me i find Maria Theresa Thaler Coin beautiful, esp the reverse side... the design is very intricate..

Although i have very few of it, my favourite would have to be the dos mundos or the pillar coins. Not only are they beautifully designed, they are also revolutionary. The first of its kind, these coins are milled coins thereby preventing people from chipping or shaving the coin therefore not lessening its intrinsic value which has been the practice since roman times. Future designs followed the example set by the dos mundos of keeping the integrity of the coin and of keeping things more standardized. Commerce greatly benefited from it and at those times traders preferred milled coins.

i personally love the reverse proof of the canadian silver maple leaf

most of the choices cited herein are really pretty coins but i do not have them.. so i judge only what i have in my collection, however, i would like to mention here that one coin that attracts lot of attention from newcomers is my commemorative 50 peso silver coin because people see the Philippine archipelago on it with Manila indicated also.

My favorite coins are the barillas, cuartos, and octavos. Very challenging to collect. Another one, are the counterstamps. Medyo bigat lang sa budget but they are worth every penny. I'm still looking for the rare granos from 1769 and I just missed this one famed "sampaloc" barilla from the last auction abroad.

the most beautiful coin should be american eagle silver dollar. cause there were over 300,000,000 pcs of american eagle silver dollar out there. that's mean people like them very much.

For me this is the most beautiful coin in the whole world. THE 1897 JAPANESE MEIJI ONE YEN
it has a very gorgeous design of the dragon also contains 90% silver. Since the coming year
is 2012 this coin is can be lucky too. Does anyone here has this kind of coin? how much does
this coin worth if i'm gonna buy it?

that japanese one yen is beautiful and toned nicely. i would say the bid should be $150.00 and ask $200.00.

indeed, dragon coins are the best, intricate designs all fitted in a tiny piece of metal, but so far this is my vote sa dragon coins, i like the nice design combined with the lotus flower shaped coin

It's a common coin though...

it's just a bullion coin issued by bank of taiwan. not the best looking dragon, but it's one of the more affordable dragon theme coins/medallions out there.
