coin auctions

the list just went out for the November 20, 2011 auction and the December 04, 2011 auction.. Good luck to everybody..

the auction yesterday was a happy one with minor glitches, like when in the middle of the auction everybody was asked to transfer venue (all just took it with a smile).. there were many nice coins.. one coin, UNC Alfonso 1885 50C went for P2600 from P1500..and a 1913S UNC 10C uspi was sold for P4500 from P2200.. a lot of bidders were very happy.. i was able to get 2 coins (McArthur 1947S 50C) for P950 from P800 and a few other coins..

ahhh ikaw pala yun ahehehe. i was there too. i finally got my Marcos 1000 Piso coin from that auction



for one thing malabo kausap ang mga managers ng Kenny Rogers and they do not coordinate with each other when it comes to space reservations. the auction, as al has mentioned, was finished outside in the garden area of Kenny Rogers. i hope they won't hold the same auctions on that place again. i mean nagbayad ang organization for renting the place

yeah hehe. bullion lang talaga target ko that day.


though yung marcos gold certificates were interesting, kaso wala ako dala pera masyado so i had to let go of that.

late na kasi ako nagising, so umalis ako ng bahay ng 11am tapos 12nn na ako umabot sa kenny rogers

i was wondering about that "gold certificate", is it true? i mean can you redeem its gold equivalent? will not that be contested by the government? i was asking around but nobody can answer? please help.. thanks.

im pretty sure you can no longer redeem the gold certificate for actual gold. I would think that the situation regarding the marcos gold certificate is similar to the gold certificates of the US treasury. they were redeemable for gold at the time until they decided that the certificates are no longer redeemable for physical gold.

but if you wanted physical gold in the first place, just buy the real stuff instead of "convertible" paper.
