Hi that was my biggest headache also, but with the help of other collectors, got my first redbook from a coin dealer, but you have to ask them, looking for coin books in the Philippines is like looking for extremely rare coins, it's kept hidden until somebody asks.

I asked around and abroad, and highly recommended by serious collectors is the 2006 Krause world coin catalog- all world coins from 1901 to 2000, now out-of-stock with only used books available at US$ 35 slightly used!, had to request friends visiting USA to source out and get it

The funny thing is that the USA collectors I asked, prefer this year edition over the 2009 edition!

don't buy new edition and expensive one. buy the used one. it will be very much cheaper. after all. you use it as a reference. mintage and pricing were mostly wrong and outdated. for u.s. coins. try to subscribe dealers newsletter. since it is intended for dealer to dealer buying and selling. deduct 10% from bid. and add 10% from ask. that is your buying and selling quote. example. a gold at $1,000.00 bid and $1,100.00 ask from that newsletter. so if you want to buy from a coin store. your price is $1,200.00 more or less. but if you want to sell it. it will be around $900.00. so you buy today and sell it tomorrow. you are losing some $300.00 or 25%.
