PNAS seal "inscription/legend"

In the PNAS seal, there is a Latin inscription (at the left) which states "LUX IN PRO FUN OIS".
What does the phrase mean in English?

Actually, its LUX PRO FUN DIS. I have been looking for the translation for the LUX in the inscription but from what I have researched. LUX has something to do with illumination. In literal translation its "LUX UPON FOR FUN RICH" which may also mean that "Illumination thru enrichment of knowledge is fulfilling" Meanwhile the symbol where there are 4 divisions on the seal illustrate the 4 important coins that shaped Philippine history. The one on the top left side is the PILONCITOS, the top right side is the MUSLIM or SULTANATE OF SULU coinage, the botton left is the DOS MONDOS or COLUMNARIOS, and the bottom right is the US-PHILIPPINE coinage designed by MELCHOR FIGUEOROA.

Thanks a lot. I also did some research (thru the internet) regarding the translation either of the phrase or per word but I was not able to find a coherent translation. I thought that there might be a member of PNAS who could enlighten us on the translation.
