Many beginners in coin collecting usually are what we term as "eager beavers" and most of the time goes for a "shotgun" approach in acquiring coins. They get whatever ("kahit ano basta") coins come their way. I was just lucky that when I was young, my friends were into collecting stamps. I saw notebooks full of pretty stamps. Some (mostly girls) concentrated on different flowers and others (mostly boys) on different animals. This make it a straight forward thinking of what they want. This should also be applied to the way we collect coins, with a specific target in mind. Thanks to all who had advised me through the years and thanks also for the good items I read on this forum..

beginners can buy a book like collecting world coins. it's much cheaper the standard catalog of world coins. for u.s. collectors. buy north american coins and prices. it contained canada, mexico and u.s.a. coinage. for p.c. lovers. buy the C D instead. you can print them out. and safe space.
