BSP still panning to decide which denomination to ratain.
From 2008 to 2012 news from all sorts of problems from all major currencies to golds and precious metal to banks to loan.
While peso is getting stronger and remitance is still going up so as the investor OFW and attracting foreigners still BSP planning to decide which denomination to retain.
Its okay not to retain others but it is important to retain one sentimo or how many sentimo per piso.
Its just like or worst if BSP will scrap one sentimo when British pound goes decimal in 1970s,it will make inflation no more rounding up in one cent all rounding up in 2.4 cents or 1 new pence,2.4 to 1 New pence,New Pence is 2.4 penny not New Penny or 1 .
If BSP will scrap other denomination and make new one to have near or same value as other coins of major currencies, like 100 piso coin is equivalent to 2 BP or 50 piso coin to 1 euro,Philippines piso is getting stronger keep the one sentimo piso.
In the past BP reaches 100 piso per pound while euro reaches 70 piso per euro, now from 50 to 55+ piso per euro at least piso is getting stronger or maybe euro is getting weaker,if other major currencies did not scrap their one cent and pence.why Philippines will do it first? or planning it? let other major currencies do it first to scrap thier cent and pence the Philippines can choose to scrap one sentimo after not before major currencies scrap thier own.
