I was thinking about what is happening during the auction. I was trying to judge if I can go all out for my target items or just play along. The start was the usual, items were called and of the first ten line items, five were not sold but three of the sold five were lone bids but the best one was sold twice its "tipo" (floor) price. One stamp priced at 200 went up to 1,900 pesos. So, this was the way, all the rest of the auction. Ninety percent of the coins were sold, mostly above the expected prices because of the presence of new collectors or just plain investors (because of the talk that the prices of silver will rise continuously). The paper moneys also followed, with a lot of smiling buyers and prices going up, as usual.
