In this Auction, will interested parties be allowed to view the items two or three days before the actual day of submission of offers? We would like very much to be given enough time to consider the condition of the coins. Hope this can be answered soon. Thank you.

Sorry but we only have the viewing schedule set on that date but in the future probably we'll consider that option.

About ten very clear pictures representing coins in various conditions (BU, UNC, AU, EF, VF, etc..) would be very welcome to us interested collectors.

that would be cumbersome and would be asking too much. no seller would go thru the trouble. not everyone has nice digicams. take note also that this website is not a PNAS website. It is run by a private individual.

Besides, that is the point of the viewing time where you can personally examine the coins you are interested in before the auction begins. that's far better than any picture.

1. Could you explain how the auction works?

You go in. register. they will give you a paddle. raise it when you want to make a bid during auction. you dont have to be a member of PNAS. just go there and you will get the drift. ask around. PNAS people are friendly.

2. Are there any restrictions, prohibitions or special conditions?

no fees no nothing. just be present and make sure you will honor your bid if you win

3. Will immediate payment be required or like some other practice of ten percent as a form of "Earnest Money" which is part of the total payment when sale is concluded and which will be forfeited upon failure to pay after a deadline?

payment will be made at the end of the auction for the total winning bids that you made

4. Can someone offer prices for all of the items or just one of the item?

one at a time. that is the point of the auction. you have an opening price stated at the catalogue. the winner is the one who makes the highest bid. it will go on and on until no one makes another higher bid. the bid goes up automatically every time you raise your paddle. the price increases by increments of 20% of the price i think. it's pretty much the same thing that you see on TV.

5. If an item is won, will the winner take it home immediately after payment?

yes at the end of the auction everything will be totaled. you pay and bring it home. you must wait for the end. you cannot just get up and claim your items if you are no longer interested in the rest because you would disrupt the entire proceedings.

Regarding the PNAS organization, I have been a follower and interested informal member for some years now. I retired from work this year and that collecting coins is now my only hobby, I would like to be a regular member. May I know the obligations and benefits of a formal member. Thank you.

For a sum of 600 pesos for the annual membership, the benefits from the organization is not comparable to any ordinary club. PNAS is a non-stock and non-profit organization so the 600 pesos membership is not actually for the personal benefit of a member but for the whole organization itself. PNAS is a charitable organization thus, its more of giving than receiving. The 600 pesos membership fee being paid by the members help the operation of the organization for it to continue its activities like helping new collectors build their collection, teach them the techniques and skills in collecting, and build camaraderie.

I will be formally joining the membership. I hope this group will endeavor to make available all pertinent data regarding all Philippine coins. Many find it very hard to do some research on Philippine coins. Thank you.
