note 1: satin finish for coins issued from 2005 to 2010.
note 2: so far 2008 is the lowest. that is why the buying price is very high. while 2010 and 2011 is still offer from the u.s. mint.

imho, the arguments above don't make any sense at all and here are my reasons why:

- why would anybody sell to a coin dealer? of course businessmen yan, they'll make
all sorts of excuse / tawad to maximize their profits, with this logic a 1903 large
piso is then only worth around Php1,100 kasi yun lang ang buying price ng coin
dealer?

"the u.s. mint is currently selling 2011 uncirculated set at $31.95 plus $4.95
shipping charge. or 1,600.00 peso. the set is composed of Philadelphia set
(P mint mark) or sometimes without mint mark. and Denver set (D mint mark).

- i believe this is too much... does this mean a proof silver eagle with no box and
coa also becomes a souvenir? or junk silver value? or worse face value at $1?

- also this statement sounds like the us mint is like a sari-sari sa kanto na ganun
lang kasimple bumili, even at $31.95 + $4.95, it failed to account the customs duties
and taxes that you have to pay for when claiming your shipped goods from other
countries, which based on my experience is easily +20% or higher pag greedy yung
inspector

PLEASE DO NOT FAIL TO CONSIDER THE FACT NA NASA PILIPINAS TAYO, a better advice would
be is to watch auctions on ebay international to gauge the fair values of coins,
because if this set is only worth Php300, then GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PULOT-PULOT
COLLECTIONS, peace, just my 2 cents

generally what i'm saying is that don't be too kuripot, it's a hobby after all, premiums WILL exist as long as there is demand, coin collecting is regarded as the "hobby of kings", add some prestige naman to our hobby, kasi if you're not willing to pay premium, then its not coin collecting anymore, treasure hunting na tawag dun, good luck achieving completion with that mentality kasi kung sobrang babaratin mo mga sellers wala ka talaga mabibili and hanggang tingin ka nalang, although be wary din of course with sellers / fishers na sobrang taas naman tumobo, just look at the "sulit factor" if you think its sulit then buy it, coz after all, the 1933 st. gaudens double eagle sold for $7,590,000

and take note that the $1 presidential coins are increasing in rarity and mintage is getting lower kasi hindi na pinapansin sa us, ang dami nakatago sa mint vaults, imagine pag tinunaw nila lahat yun, magsisisi ka lang because some people told you to pay only Php300 for something you're willing to pay for a thousand naman, saka these days ano ba naman yung Php1000 in exchange for the satisfaction of collecting coins and if you think na madaming coins ang hindi sulit, then you're probably in the wrong hobby my friend dahil magastos talaga itong hobby na 'to

very well said, everyone please remember that we are all here to support and help each other, let us learn to take criticism and opposite opinions with a grain of salt, and please stop giving bad advice to newbies... kawawa naman din mga sellers who are selling at fair prices tapos maga-advice kayo ng 300 pesos, please do the math and be more sensible in giving opinions, collectors nga tayo tapos you're giving advice on currency exchange....

oh and btw, i've checked with the us mint website, international shipping is $14.95 + $2.95 handling fee, add that to $31.95 + the %20 customs and duties charge, isipin nyo nalang how you ruined it for the guy asking and you gave a php300 advice, from now on lagi na nakatatak sa utak nyan yung 300 na advice nyo and guess what, wala syang mabibili sa kapipilit nya sa 300 na yan, kawawa naman yung collection nya hindi uusad, oh and btw, please do not advice na pag wala yung box na instant face value nalang yung coins, mint sealed pa rin yung set and let's say na opened na yun and tingi tingi na yung coins, uncirculated condition pa rin yun and it doesn't necessarily mean na face value na agad yung coins, sure an incomplete, opened or unboxed set may decrease the NUMISMATIC VALUE of a coin but it does not deminish the NUMISMATIC INTEREST, therefore as long as may mintage limit, collector interest, IT WILL NEVER EVER BE TREATED AT FACE VALUE

Imbes na bumili siya ng mga ganoon ay bumili siya na magho-hold ang value. Tuwing bumibili ako ng mga coins ay lagi kong iniisip kung magkano ko na lang mabebenta ang mga yon...malulugi ba ako o hindi??? Kaya based on experience ...tama ang ginawa ko...yung mga coins ko ay nagho-hold ang value at marami ang mabebenta ko ng mas mahal.

Tingin ko kaya ganyan ang mga post mo ay dahil lugi ka sa collection mo...nabili mo ng mahal...tapos ay mabebenta mo lang ng mura??? Karamihan ba ng collection mo ay gawa sa base metals???

hello!!! usa mint set lang pinag uusapan hindi 1906 peso, people collect these kinds of coins for interest and fun, not for investment, saka mali ang tingin mo siguro dahil panay fakes lang ang kino-collect mo, and i also have plenty of rare coins including the 1906 peso, regular usa coins like quarters and dollars are collected for fun, i just can't understand why you would bitch about a cheap-ass set and make it cheaper, oh forgive me, hindi pala cheap yun para sayo coz after all fakes lang ang afford mo

I have been a member of different forums coins and otherwise both local and international, never have I dislike a person as much as I dislike this newbie guy. newbie nga ang ugali. you will learned a lot from a person by just reading his writings. I don't know what category I will put newbie's in: a guy who acts like a teenager who seems to know everything or a guy who acts like a 5 years old boy who doesn't seems to know anything.

newbie, you may have a thousand "hoards" but the fact is: there's no amount of hoards: gold or "rare coins" that could masked your character and kawalang asal. magsama nalang kayo sa hoards mo, for sure like your coins itself - you belong to the ages - the dinosaur ages.
